A safe and caring learning environment for our students

At SBS we are commited to providing a safe and caring learning environment for our students. To ensure we take the appropriate preacautions, our school has developed a set of policies that include preventive epidemic measures, hygienic practices, and air quality protocols.


SBS Covid-19 Protocols

1. Check body temperature.

Check students' body temperature, check whether the students have any other symptoms, such as coughing, sneezing, running nose, sore throat, or high fever (37.5 °C.). If the body temperature is more than 37.5 C, parents will be contacted and students will be requested to stay home.

2. Home quarantine.

If students travel to high-risk countries, they need to be in-home quarantine for 14 days. Students will need to provide a medical clearance certificate before entering the school

3. Wear a mask.

If students travel to high-risk countries, they need to be in-home quarantine for 14 days. Students will need to provide a medical clearance certificate before entering the school

4. Online admissions.

New families who want to visit the school need to follow SBS Covid-19 Admission Procedure. We also accommodate prospective families/students by offering online admissions. New students will be offered an online admission test and interview as an option.

5. Deep cleaning.

Deep cleaning of the classrooms and other facilities.

6. Travel history and passport check.

SBS Covid-19 Protocols for Teachers and Staff during the School Break

1. Do not travel to "high risk" countries.

SBS strongly advises staff members NOT to travel to the following countries: China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Macao, Italy, Iran, France, Germany, and other countries/locations as per any further announcements from the Ministry of Public Health (if any).

2. Home quarantine.

Staff who came back from those countries will need to be quarantined at home or at a hospital (if you are experiencing flu-like symptoms) for at least 14 days from the date of arrival. Staff will need to provide a medical clearance certificate before entering the school grounds.

3. Medical certificates required.

In the event that others n the household who have travelled in the countries or locations as mentioned above, the school shall inform them to quarantine themselves for 14 days and temporarily ban entry from the school premises. After 14 days a medical certificate will be required before entering back into the school.
